Barbara Adams is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at The New School for Social Research developing a project on social engagement and artistic research with a particular focus on the potential for these practices to produce knowledge and initiate action.

Scott Brown is a Ph.D. candidate in Anthropology at The New School for Social Research exploring social design's forms of knowledge and practice through an ethnography of professional design practice and design education.

John Bruce is Assistant Professor of Strategic Design and Management at the School of Design Strategies at Parsons School of Design. He explores modes of immersive experience, engagement, and exchange through a variety of media formats. His current research is focused on the experience of dying.

Anthony Dunne is University Professor of Design and Social Inquiry at The New School and a partner in the design studio Dunne & Raby which uses design as a medium to stimulate discussion about the social, cultural and ethical implications of existing and emerging technologies.

Orit Halpern is an Assistant Professor in History at The New School of Social Research and Eugene Lang College, and an Affiliate in the Design Studies Graduate Program at Parsons. Her research centers on histories of digital media, cybernetics, cognition and neuroscience, architecture, planning, and design.

Joseph Lemelin is a Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy at The New School for Social Research developing a philosophical reconstruction of the origin of the categories of the natural and the artificial in the history of ancient philosophy.

Laura Y. Liu is Associate Professor of Urban Studies at Eugene Lang College, The New School for Liberal Arts. Her research focuses on community organizing, urban social movements, race, gender, and labor politics in immigrant communities, and on New York City's Chinatown.

Fiona Raby is University Professor of Design and Social Inquiry at The New School and a partner in the design studio Dunne & Raby which uses design as a medium to stimulate discussion about the social, cultural and ethical implications of existing and emerging technologies.

Antina von Schnitzler is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Program of International Affairs at The New School. Her work focuses on citizenship and political subjectivities, the anthropology of infrastructure and technology, colonialism and postcoloniality, and South Africa.

Alexios Tsigkas is a Ph.D. candidate in Anthropology at The New School for Social Research. His research explores the relationship between aesthetics and commodities through an ethnography of taste-making in the Ceylon tea industry.

Michelle Weitzel is a doctoral candidate in Politics at The New School for Social Research. Her research centers on the ways in which sound represents a paradigm of political power. Her fieldwork is situated in Israel and Palestine, the Saharan Desert, southern France, and New York City.
