Christopher Paul Harris is a Ph.D. candidate in Politics and Historical Studies at the New School for Social Research. His research considers the affective and often performative strategies taken up by young black activists, writers, and artists in and around the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL). 

Matthew Jensen is Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design. Over the past ten years, he has developed an interdisciplinary practice that combines walking, collecting, photography, mapping, and extensive research.

Hoyeon Lim is a Ph.D. student in Philosophy at The New School for Social Research. Her primary research interest is in pictorial representation and the perceptual and cognitive resources that are drawn upon to identify and appreciate similarities and differences between pictorial styles.

Jessica Pisano received her Ph.D. from Yale University and is currently Associate Professor and Chair of the Politics Department at the New School for Social Research. She has written extensively on contemporary and twentieth century politics and political economy in Eastern Europe.

Douglas de Toledo Piza is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the New School for Social Research. His work explores the intersections of migration, borders, markets, and informality, especially among Chinese migrants moving between Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) and São Paulo (Brazil). 

Fiona Raby is University Professor of Design and Social Inquiry at The New School and a partner in the design studio Dunne & Raby which uses design as a medium to stimulate discussion about the social, cultural and ethical implications of existing and emerging technologies.

Jussara dos Santos Raxlen is a doctoral candidate in Sociology at The New School for Social Research. At the intersection of culture, politics, and the sociology of knowledge, her research explores the links between categories of thought and their representations, and forms of solidarity. 

Nitin Sawhney is Assistant Professor of Media Studies at The New School. He engages technology, civic media, and artistic interventions in contested spaces, examining social movements and crisis contexts through creative urban tactics, participatory research, performance, and documentary film. 

Radhika Subramaniam is a curator, editor, and writer with an interdisciplinary practice. Through exhibition, public art, and texts, she explores the poetics and politics of crises and surprises, particularly urban crowds, walking, cultures of catastrophe, art, and human-animal relationships. 

Wendy S. Walters is Associate Dean of Art and Design History and Theory at Parsons. Her current field of interest is the writing practice as a means for conducting research and translating methods across disciplines.

Victoria Hattam is the interim director of GIDEST for 2018-19. She is completing a book on design and production in the global economy.

Haeun Kim is the GIDEST Program Assistant and an M.A. candidate in Sociology at The New School for Social Research.
