Andrea Geyer

ON DANCE FUTURES AND GHOST GESTURES

Andrea Geyer is a multi-disciplinary artist un-sensing the construction and politics of time, and a 2018-19 GIDEST Fellow. With a particular focus on those who identify or, at some point, were identified as woman, her works use photography, performance, video, sculpture, drawing, and painting to activate the lingering potential of specific events, places, or biographies.

For her GIDEST project, which she will be presenting on at the Friday seminar, Andrea is developing a choreography of bodily gestures of allegiance.
