CT/d Dialogues
In Spring 2023, The Consortium for Trans/disciplinarity—an alliance of GIDEST, the Parsons DESIS Lab, and the MFA in Transdisciplinary Design—is convening a series of three Dialogues designed to both deepen and broaden the conversation across The New School about the mission, identity, and structure of the university: a conversation specific to our institution but with implications across the US academy.
The CT/d Dialogues are organized around three large interlocking themes: the politics and practice of the university; effective infrastructure; and scholarship and activism. They are small-scale, informal events that bring New School faculty, students, and leadership into conversation with scholars, activists, and practitioners prominent in debates on the perils and potential of the academy. The conversations are documented as text transcripts.
